Usage

Acetophenone is a colorless, oily liquid with a sweet, floral odor.It is a naturally occurring component of a large number of foods and essential oils. Acetophenone can be hydrogenated catalytically to 1-phenylethanol. It is obtained as a by-product in the Hock phenol synthesis and is purified from the high-boiling residue by distillation.
