Yesterday, magnetic material prices edged up slightly, but overall market activity remained moderate. This was supported by cost increases in raw materials such as praseodymium-neodymium oxide and metal. In terms of transactions, the current round of restocking for rigid demand is nearly complete, and procurement activity from downstream sectors is generally moderate, leading to an overall lukewarm trading atmosphere.
Nov 11 News:
Rare Earth Ore:
Prices: Rare earth carbonate is around 45,400 yuan/ton; monazite is around 52,000 yuan/ton; and medium yttrium-europium-rich concentrate is around 211,000 yuan/ton.
Supply & Demand: Recently, inquiries for ionic ore products remain weak, and the operating rates of separation plants have not shown significant improvement. Trading activity in the rare earth ore market is thin.
Rare Earth Oxides:
Prices: Inquiry prices for praseodymium-neodymium oxide are in the range of 555,000 – 560,000 yuan/ton. The mainstream transaction range for dysprosium oxide is 1.52 – 1.56 million yuan/ton. Terbium oxide is quoted around 6.58 – 6.62 million yuan/ton.
Supply & Demand: Yesterday, market quotations for praseodymium-neodymium oxide were relatively active. However, downstream metal companies showed weak willingness to accept goods. In the afternoon, holders took the initiative to lower their offering prices, causing the price trend for praseodymium-neodymium oxide to turn weaker. For medium and heavy rare earths, downstream demand remains sluggish, and their price trends also weakened slightly.
Rare Earth Metals:
Prices: The mainstream quotation range for praseodymium-neodymium metal is 680,000 – 685,000 yuan/ton. Dysprosium-iron alloy is quoted around 1.48 – 1.50 million yuan/ton. Terbium metal is quoted around 8.20 – 8.25 million yuan/ton.
Supply & Demand: Yesterday, praseodymium-neodymium metal market prices saw a slight increase, primarily supported by oxide costs. Metal companies showed little willingness to sell at low prices. However, market inquiries were generally moderate, and actual transactions were weak. Trading activity in the medium and heavy rare earth metals market remained poor, with thin market inquiries and weak willingness among metal companies to actively offer quotes.
